How HALO works

Five steps from
sign-up to champion.

Submit your expression of interest, get drafted to a real team, and play a season with a real ending.
01
Step 01

Register your interest

Any player under 17 submits a free expression of interest — name, position, highlights. It takes minutes, costs nothing, and it puts you in the draft pool.

Step 02

Get drafted

Owners and coaches scout every profile, then pick their rosters live at the HALO Draft Party — the big night that opens the season.

Step 04

Play the season

Seven game nights of real volleyball — four games every night on one court, a full single round-robin with zero byes. Every night counts toward the standings.

Step 05

Crown a champion

All eight teams reach Championship Day. A seeded single-elimination bracket runs to the Final on the show court — one team lifts the title and takes home the prize.

The launch event

Every season starts
with a youth draft.

This is what sets HALO apart from day one. Every player under 17 — girls and boys, same rosters — enters one pool. Owners and coaches scout the field. Then, on one big night, eight teams build their squads, live.

The Draft Board

Round 2 · On the clock

Your profile is your card. Name, position, highlights, photo — the card owners and coaches see on draft night. Build it once, and you're on the board for one of eight teams.

Thirteen rounds, live. The draft runs snake-style until every roster holds thirteen players. Nobody pays for a spot. Everybody earns one the same way — by being picked.

The season

A real season with
a real ending.

Built in the shape of the pros: a full round-robin, a mid-season twist, and one day where everything is decided.
Weeks 1–7

The Round-Robin

Seven game nights, four games each night on a single court. Every team plays all seven opponents once — zero byes. Every result moves the standings, and the standings decide your Championship Day seed.

After Week 4

The Player Market

A mid-season window where players can opt in — with family consent — to move for more court time. Two out, two in per team, worst team claims first. No money changes hands, ever.

Week 8

Championship Day

All eight teams make it. Seeded quarterfinals into semifinals, a bronze match, and the Final on the show court. One day, one champion, $5,000 to the winning team.

The social contest

Post for your team.
Win the pizza party.

Every week, players post about their team on Instagram or TikTok. Verified likes roll up to team totals — and the top two teams on the board win the $200 pizza party.

Team totals only, always. Individual player counts are never published — your post feeds your team's bar, and the whole squad climbs together.

Post it, tag the league, upload a screenshot. League staff verify every post weekly, then the week closes and two teams eat.

For prospective owners

Own a franchise.
Build a team.

HALO is a family-owned league — eight teams, each owned by a local family that names it, brands it, and backs it for the season. The league runs the machinery. You run the story.

What ownership means

One all-in number: $8,000The full season, capped. League fee, full team kit, coach stipend, and court time — all handled through league-managed procurement, so no owner can outspend another.
Your identity, professionally builtYou choose the name, colours, and design. The league delivers the brand kit, team page, and media-day photography to a professional standard.
A seat at the draft tableYou and your coach scout the pool and pick your thirteen players live on draft night — the marquee event of the season.
Owner perks all seasonFour all-season passes, owner credentials, Championship Day hospitality, and a voice on the owners' council.
Real sponsorship rightsSell team-level sponsorship within league category protection. Every dollar you raise offsets your $8,000 — and anything beyond it lifts all eight franchises. Your relationships, the league's parity.
A share of the league's successAfter a league reserve is set aside, the season surplus is distributed equally among the eight owners. Everyone wins together.
